Obituary of Stephen H. Shail

Stephen H. Shail, 50, of Essex passed away at his home on April 21, 2015. He was born in Middletown, the son of Arthur Shail of Middletown and Phyllis (Lougee) Kruger and her husband John of Haddam Neck. He grew up in Middlesex County and lived in Essex for more than thirty years. Stephen was also a self employed carpenter for many years. Stephen enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his German Shepard, Cody. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Nicole Shail of Centerbrook, his sisters, Deborah Wood of Uncasville, Cynthia Naughton of East Hampton, Amy Grillo of Chester, Holly Shail of Southington, his brothers, John Shail of Essex, and Whitney Shail of Southington, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Friday, April 24th from 5-7 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 11:00AM in the Higganum Burr Cemetery, Route 81 in Haddam. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
