Obituary of Theresa F. Wester

Theresa F. Wester, age 79 of Deep River passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Gladeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Old Saybrook. Theresa was the beloved wife of Robert L. Wester. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 29, 1935, the daughter of John and Frances (Ozelis) Tiskus. Theresa was raised in Philadelphia and attended both the Pierce Business School and Saint Joseph College there, where she studied accounting. Theresa and Robert were married in Pine Hills, New Jersey on April 5, 1975, and resided there before becoming residents of Deep River in 1984. She enjoyed her careers in accounting and residential real estate in New Jersey, and also worked with several residential real estate agencies along the Connecticut Shoreline. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex, and was both an avid reader and gardener. Theresa was a member of the former Essex Women's Club and a former member of the Deep River Rotary Club. Besides her husband Robert she leaves her children, David Haenn and Helen Raniolo, both of New Jersey. She also leaves a sister and several grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street in Essex on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River.
