Obituary of John D. Sable

John D. Sable, 67, of Deep River died on March 14, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long and courageous battle. Beloved husband of Jane (French) Sable. John was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late John and Evelyn (Koch) Sable and had lived in Connecticut for the past 38 years. He attended Aurora University in Illinois and graduated from Quinnipiac Law School. He served our nation in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War in Istanbul, Turkey. John went on to practice real estate law for many years with Merrill Lynch Realty, CT Prudential Realty which became Berkshire Hathaway Home Services & Properties as their general counsel. John was an avid bicycler, having competed in the Century Race and had a love of travel. In addition to his wife Jane, John is survived by his daughter, Lauren P. McBride of Brownfield, ME, his sister, Donna Kosinski of Oaklawn, IL and two grandsons, Rylan and Reece. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th from 5-7pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook. Funeral service and interment will be private.
