Obituary of Aaron Matthew Conrad

Aaron Matthew Conrad, beloved son, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at the age of 33 years. Aaron grew up in Easton, CT, where he was an outgoing child who enjoyed friends, soccer and Boy Scouts. At the age of thirteen Aaron moved with his family to Singapore where he attended the Singapore American School for 4 years. He continued to enjoy a wide circle of friends and played soccer as well as rugby. He returned to the US to complete his senior year of high school in Wilmington, DE. After graduation Aaron attended Keene State University. Aaron developed a love of travel and enjoyed opportunities to travel in Europe as well as in a number of countries in Asia. He was a kind man who was loyal to his friends. He found his creative calling in life working as a stone mason while often speaking of becoming a counselor later in life. Aaron is survived by his loving parents, Carl and Marijean Conrad, as well as by his devoted sister and brother-in-law, Meghan and Robert Gardner. He also leaves an aunt, Susan Conrad, of Wilmington, DE, and an uncle, Gerry Bryant, of Danville, CA. There will be a memorial service to honor his life on Sunday, August 23, at 3:00 p.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT. Interment will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Mary Campbell Center, 4641 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
