I am deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing. He was an extraordinary human being and had an open and sharing heart - something truly rare. I knew him for many years. He was a student of my mother Eleanor at Nauset. I'll always remember him singing "I was born under a wanderin' star" in Paint Your Wagon. May Jesus bring comfort to all who are in grief.

I have fond memories of Ray from our childhood horse show days. He was always a lot of fun, and was warm and encouraging to us younger riders. I am sorry his family has lost him so young.

To the family of Ray... My deepest condolences. I knew Ray as a gentle soul, a magnificent painter, and a friend for many years. We showed together at Breakpoint Gallery, we'd share a stage at the Mews Coffee House, and we shared a love of painting. I will miss Ray and pray that he is at peace.

To all my family, friends and friends of Raymond's,
There have been so many of you that have rallied around our family over the past week with your beautiful expressions of sympathy and prayers that we have been overwhelmed with all your many kindnesses. Raymond had a huge heart because his love was rooted deeply in his faith and love for Our Lord. We didn't know how many people's lives he touched until seeing and hearing the beautiful tributes being shared for him. We will be forever grateful to you for your compassion and love you gave him during his earthly journey. Until we all meet again, May God hold each of you in the palm of his Hand and eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.

I have known Ray for about 25 years, and was deeply impressed by his artistic talents and truly felt he was a fine person. I have two of his paintings. We shared many interesting conversations over the years. I have a radio show on WOMR this coming Sunday, and will be offering a memorial tribute in Ray's honor and am wondering if any family members would like to participate. You can contact me via email or at 508 349-1196. My sincere condolences for your loss.

I remember Ray from Nauset Drama and being in Paint Your Wagon with Him. He always had a smile and a kind word. The world will be diminished by his passing and the loss of his light, but he will never be forgotten.
God Bless you Ray, and my condolences to your family.

I'm not sure exactly when I first met Ray, but it might well have been 20 years ago while I was still at Our Lady of the Cape in Brewster. Our common link was Fr. Achilles Nolin. More recently, within the last year, Ray had asked me if I would sit for him to create a portrait. I said yes, but time ran out before he could get to it. No doubt, Ray's biggest consolation right now is the peace he lives, knowing with certainty that his faith struggle was not in vain. May Mary change all his darkness to light!

Ray will be missed very much in Provincetown and at the parish of St. Peter the Apostle. I've been seeing him at weekday masses for some time and he's been infallibly cheerful and smiling, no matter what was going on in his life. He was a gifted artist and a beautiful human being.

This is the sensitive, brilliantly artistic and talented kin,my look-alike,my brotherin life,in art,in blood and spirit. What he lacked in life, possessions, money, fame, home, health and assured happiness, he had firmly established in Spirit,in kindness and caring.People loved his generosity and ability to live large "outside the establishment". He had a calling here and was ready in life for the next call. I believe he has met the call forevermore. God bless you bro,you are always in my heart and home and spirit now!
