Obituary of Earl P. Simoneau

Ended his earthly life peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 20, 2015 at age 79. He grew up in Old Lyme, earned a B.S.'58 and M.S.'67 in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force National Guard after serving one year of active duty in Germany. After 17 years at Norden Division of United Technologies, he resigned as Senior Project Engineer and purchased the Connecticut Marine Instrument Co. which sold and installed marine electronic equipment. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Doris; his son Paul Simoneau and his wife Diane and their two sons, Jack and Jason; his son Peter Simoneau and his wife Diane and her two children, Ashley Morgan and Christopher Morgan. His brother Robert and his wife Theresa: his brother Roy and his wife Jean: his sister Elizabeth and her husband James Scott; and many nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by his sister Claire Foster. Burial will be private. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 56 Great Hammock Road.,Old Saybrook, CT on October 3, 2015 at 11:00AM.
