I met Bernie and Millie in the 70's. Wokred with Millie at Su Casa and Bernie played bass with one of my bands. We spent a lot of time enjoying eachother's company - we all enjoyed good food, wine and lively conversation.
I will miss them.
Wishing all the girls peace...

I knew Bernie since the 70's from the "old" Old Saybrook shopping center. He used to come into the drugstore every day to get his newspaper. I always brought my jewerlry and watch repairs to him over all these years. It was always a pleasure to visit and chat with him. Sometimes Millie would be there and I didn't know her as well but she was always friendly and helpful. Boy I sure am going to miss him. Condolences to all of his family.

Bernie, a talented, creative and very bright person has sadly left. His wife, Milly, lovingly cared and gave to the girls. Amazing that they left together. May he forever play music, host large banquets with great main courses, and refurbish cars. May Milly paint, craft and smile her beautiful smile. Your children shine with so many of your talents. They are your gifts to us all. Thank you. With sorrow and love, Lidy

I only knew Bernie for the last few years before he became ill, I did most of his clock repairs. I loved stopping in to see Bernie and hear his take on the world and there was always a stream of people coming and going. Only for a battery or to adjust their watch strap, but it seemed like everyone came to see Bernie. Bernie always wanted to treat people fairly and take care of their needs. He would always say to me, "See if you can do something with this, I have known the family for years" That was Bernie. You will be missed my friend..RIP
