Obituary of Francoise P. Carey

Francoise "Frankie" P. Carey, age 89, of Haddam passed away on Friday morning, December 25, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved mother of David Carey of Haddam and Peter Carey of Ivoryton. Frankie was born in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada on December 21, 1926 the daughter of Henri and Aurore (Roy) Pare. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant in banking for many years. She enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and reading the daily newspaper. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who could make anyone smile and brighten their day with her great wit and quaint little remarks. Besides her sons she leaves her daughter-in-law Kimberly Carey and her seven beloved grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. Frankie also is survived by her brother, Gerald Pare, of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. She was predeceased by her sister, Carmen. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Ave., in Chester at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
