Obituary of Carol S. Burzin

Carol S. Burzin, 57, of East Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away on January 20, 2016. She was born on May 5, 1957 to Philip Burzin and the late Sondra Burzin in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Brooklyn College with a B. A. in Accounting, Carol remained employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for over 30 years. Carol is survived by her beloved father, Philip of Madison, CT as well as her brother Jeffrey Burzin and his wife Karen, of Ivoryton, CT. She leaves behind her cousins, dear friends and coworkers as well as her adored nieces, Jeffrey and Karen's daughters, Sarah, Amy and Katie. Carol did not have children and always considered her nieces as "my girls". Her girls will miss her terribly. Besides her family, she leaves behind many dear life-long friends and co-workers with whom she shares memories of travels, adventures and laughter. Additionally, she leaves behind her live- in caregiver whom she loved as a sister. Carol's life was blessed with such loving and caring friends. Karen and Jeffrey along with Philip would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, concern and well wishes while Carol fought cancer. She fought her illness with dignity and determination. A Temple Service will be held today at 12 Noon at the Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek, 55 Kings Highway in Chester, CT. Burial will follow in the Congregation Cemetery in Moodus, CT.
