Julia Jane Gregory - Old Saybrook, CT - Family posted a condolence
Wednesday, February 10, 2016
Julia Jane Gregory sends her deepest condolences to the family as a long time friend and cousin (on her mother's side, Ola Rankin Gregory). She remembers how Kevin always looked at the humor in any situation and loved to laugh, but also had a serious and very intelligent side as well, when needed.
It was a blessing to know Kevin and though he fought courageously, he will now be free of the pain and suffering he endured on this earth. He was taken too soon and will be dearly missed.
Julia wished to mention that she would have liked to come to the service, but she now resides at Gladeview Healthcare and can no longer get out and about, but will keep the family in her thoughts and prayers.

I had the honor of knowing Kevin not just as my brother in law but as a friend. Kevin was an amazing man.He was funny, kind, loving, stubborn and had more courage than any one of us can ever hope to have. There were times when I don't know where he found the strength to keep going but Kevin did. He would find that one bright spot and hang on. Most of the time, his bright spot was his daughter Emily. He loved her more than anything and each visit was a gift to him. They shared a special bond that only daddy's and daughters have and both of their faces would light up each time they saw each other, which was often. Thank you for making that possible Sandy.
Kevin touched every member of my family's life by sharing with us what he learned through the course of his disease. All that matters is love. I will miss you always Kevin.

Our thoughts, blessings and condolences go out to you and your families. We think often of the reunions we all shared at Mary Grieder's, that was where we first met Dennis and remember him as being easy going and a wonderful family man.
