Obituary of Mary T. Ludwig

Mary T. Ludwig, 93 of Essex passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Middlesex Health Care in Middletown. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Charles Ludwig. She was born in Simsbury on January 15, 1923 the daughter of Domenic and Ann (Plukus) Mikalusky. Mary was a longtime resident of Essex and was a devoted communicant at Our Lady of Sorrows Church where she served as a member of the Catholic Women's Council; she will be remembered as one who loved to be in her gardens. Mary is survived by her good friend Reverend Bradley W. Pierce of Meriden. Besides her husband Charles who predeceased her in 1990 she was also predeceased by her son, Robert C. Ludwig who passed away in 2000, and her brother, Domenic Mikalusky and her sister, Ann Grenzinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street in Essex at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Route 145 in Westbrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street, Essex, CT 06426.
