Obituary of Margaret C. Davies

Margaret C. (Peggi) Davies, loving wife of Arthur Davies, passed away Thursday evening, June 30, 2016 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long struggle with cancer. She lived in Deep River and Chester all of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Eric Carlson and Agnes (Santti) Carlson. She leaves her twin daughters, Kim Lee and her husband Tim, and Kerry Davies and her partner Jeremy Knox. She is also survived by her twin sister, Patricia Baroni, sister, Joan Wetmore, brother, Alvin Carlson and his wife Elva, sister-in-law, Diane Bielski and her husband Stan, brother-in-law, Lester Davies and his wife Martha, her four grandchildren, Paige, Erin, Noah, and Emma May Lee along with many nieces , nephews, and cousins. She was the Vice-President and bookkeeper at Deep River Hardware for 35 years. She loved her Red Sox, UConn Basketball, and enjoyed sewing and holidays with her family. She was a former member of VASA and a member of the Scandinavian United Society in Deep River. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home , 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00AM at The First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River. Interment will follow in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Deep River-Chester Lions Club, P.O.
