Obituary of James E. Everitt

James E. Everitt, Jr., age 74, of Killingworth passed away at his home on August 4, 2016. He is survived by his wife Peggy (Monroe) Everitt, and his children, James E. Everitt III, Penny Gfeller, and Tammy Haring, eight grandchildren, a great grandson, and his sister, Virginia Allen. After serving in the USMC as a proud veteran, he worked as a pressman for Uraco for 30 years. He loved being outdoors, boats, fishing, and working on anything mechanical. He was predeceased by his parents, James E. Everitt Sr. and Myrtle T. (Trowbridge) Everitt, sisters, Delores Lane, Jane Taylor, and Betty Baxter. A graveside service with the rendering of Full Military Honors will be held on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00AM in the Centerbrook Cemetery, Westbrook Road in Centerbrook. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
