Obituary of Timothy Croker

Timothy J. Croker, age 70, of Chester, CT passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, CT. Tim was the beloved husband of Lynne (Sovetts) Croker. He was born in Glens Falls, NY on August 12, 1945 the son of George W. And Louise (McCall) Croker. Tim graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Glens Falls and received his bachelor's degree from Saint Anselm's College in Manchester, NH. He served in the United States Army from 1967-1970 as a Military Intelligence Officer in Okinawa, Japan. Following his time in the service he attended the University of Toledo, College of Law in Toledo, OH. Tim and Lynne married a short time later and spent the next several years living and traveling throughout Europe. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this October. Tim started his sales career with AJ Nystrom in CT and later joined Gerber Scientific Products, Inc. where he held several sales and management positions for the next 17 years. He was employed for the last 7 years as a sales manager for Laminators, Inc. in PA where he worked until his death. Tim was smart and funny with a tremendous sense of humor and a wonderful creative spirit. He was an avid reader who spent countless hours sitting by his beautiful waterfall with a good book while enjoying the wildlife around him. Besides his wife Lynne, he leaves two brothers, Steve of Sebring, FL and Jim of Killeen, TX, his sister Mary Zehner of Babson Park, FL and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving canine companions, Henry and Sophie. Tim was predeceased by his parents and brothers Mike and Joe.
