Obituary of Stephen Stanislaus Markesky

Stephen Stanislaus Markesky, age 76, of Essex passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Saturday morning, August 20, 2016. Steve was the beloved husband of Sarah (Gray) Markesky. Besides his beloved wife Sally he leaves his children, Jacqueline (Duncan) Tate, of the UK, Christopher (Eugenie) Markesky, of Palo Alto, CA, Sarah Alexandra Markesky, of Berkley, CA, Luke Alexander Markesky, of Washington DC, and Kate Elizabeth (E.J.) Freeman, of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Brogan May Tate and Anna Markesky, and his brother, Paul (Elaine) Markowski, of the UK. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street in Essex. Burial will be privately held in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospice and Palliative Care, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
