I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I've known Pia since the seventh grade. I have many memories of the Bonaparte family. Seems like I was always there with Pia. But the summer between seventh grade and eighth grade Pia asked if I could go on a three week sailing trip. I was absolutely beside myself. Of course I said yes. I had no idea what I was in for. Well I learned alot that summer from Mr. Bonaparte. He was very kind and generous and caring and we all had a ball. He's gone to a better place and will be terribly missed by many, including myself. May you all find some kind of closure and peace. All my prayers and love to the Bonaparte family.

I am heartbroken to lose my much loved and respected Uncle Otto. Not until adulthood did I fully appreciate the remarkable family I am blessed with. I am so fortunate to have my amazing Uncles Otto, Nick and Mario in my life for all of these years and as Colette put it so succinctly, "we seemed to think you would all live forever". Sadly that's not reality.
Uncle Otto, I will truly miss you on Mother's Day and New Year's Day, almost always spent at our house, as well as the visits in between and Easter at Colette's. I especially loved the smaller gatherings (albeit rare in our family), with the lively conversations we'd have sitting around the dinner table. There was always so much to learn from you and your experiences throughout the remarkable life you led. You were an integral part of building new traditions in our home. Your reserved mild mannered nature, integrity, modesty and intellect were admirable. You were truly present and relevant in our lives.
Always a loving and caring brother to my mom and your baby sister. In recent years I've been especially touched by the love, patience and kindness you showed her as her health declined.
I am so grateful to have had these years with you and grateful Roberto, Jacqueline and Tico got to know you as well as they do. We are all so deeply saddened to lose you.
You live on in my heart and I will never forget all you mean to me.
My love and condolences to Aunt Carmen, Lisa and Pia. I know you are heartbroken and miss Uncle Otto terribly. You are all in my heart and prayers.
Love,
Diane

Dear Carmen,
I was saddened to hear of Otto's passing. I worked for Otto at CHFA for many years before working for the President. I recently retired from CHFA after 36 years.
I enjoyed working with Otto very much and remember helping him with details of his sailboat during the time I worked with him. He was an amazing man and I am so glad I got to know him!
I wanted to send this note to let you know that I am thinking of you Lisa and Pia during this difficult time.
Sincerely - Rose Holbrook
