Obituary of Delores Howard

Delores "Dee" J. Howard, age 87, of Killingworth passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved wife of Carl J. Lund. Dee was born in Bristol, Connecticut on November 9, 1928 the daughter of James and Wanda (Dembowski) Blodgett. Dee was a longtime resident of Killingworth and was a devoted communicant of Saint Lawrence Church where she served the parish as a lay minister. She also had served the community of Killingworth as an Assistant Town Clerk. Dee was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Howard. Besides husband Carl she leaves her sister Laura Charpentier, of Bristol and her two nieces and her nephew. Visitation was held at Saint Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Drive in Killingworth on Wednesday, September 7th from 10:00AM until the time of her Funeral Liturgy at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Route 145 in Westbrook. Memorial contributions may be made in Dee's name to Saint Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Drive, Killingworth, Ct.
