Obituary of Gloria Pytlik
Gloria (Weihe) Pytlik, age 90, of Westbrook, CT, went to her home in heaven on September 15, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late George Pytlik. She was born in Brooklyn on April 29, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Vellea Weihe. She grew up in the Bronx and Tarrytown, NY, as well as Ivoryton, CT. Gloria was a loving mother to her three children and was a partner to her husband George in the business known as George's Appliance and Jet Laundrette for many years. Gloria was a communicant of St Mark's Church in Westbrook since its formation, and served the church as a Eucharistic minister. She also cared for Father Zenon Smilga for many years after her husband's death. Gloria enjoyed gardening, and housekeeping, as well as her friends in Jensen's community. She is survived by her son, Paul Pytlik of Essex, CT , her daughter Cathleen and Daniel Kinsman, and her son George K. Pytlik and Nancy Pytlik, all of Westbrook. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lisa McLaughlin, Sheryl Reichert, Joseph Pytlik, Fox Kinsman, Thomas Mulcair, Tracey Kinsman, Elizabeth Cardenas, and George K. Pytlik Jr., as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Monday September 19th from 5-7PM. Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 10:30AM at Saint Marks church, 222 McVeagh Road, in Westbrook. Burial will follow in Resurrection cemetery, Westbrook.
