Obituary of Patricia Ann Kenney-Rankin
Patricia Ann (Bevivino) Kenney-Rankin, 75, passed away on Oct 15,2016 in Chester, CT, surrounded by her loving family , after a brave battle with lung cancer.Born in Stamford and raised in Cos Cob, CT she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Branca) Bevivino. She was the wife of the late Donald E Rankin.Pat was the owner/operator of the Beauty Barn in Deep River for over 30 years and worked until her last days, serving her many friends, customers and clients. Pat was always active in the local community; In East Haddam, where she lived for over 15 years; Deep River where she ran her business and Chester where she lived in her later years. She was an active member of the Swede Club in Deep River. Pat's door and her heart were always open to her family and friends; whether she was just cooking food or stirring up trouble!She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Sousa and her husband David of Ivoryton, Tracy Plank and her fiancé James Miner of Chester, Jamie Guifarro of Colchester . Her two grandsons, Michael Sousa of Coventry and Brandon Guifarro of Colchester. Her brother, Dominick Bevivino of Bluffton, SC.She is also survived by her aunt, Florence Orrico of Cos Cob, nephew Thomas Mollo-Hickey of Harwinton and her many beloved cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert E Plank Jr, grandson Eric Robert Sousa, her sister Camille (Bevivino) Mollo , nephew Frank Mollo – Hickey, husbands Robert E. Plank , James C. Kenney Jr . Our family wishes to thank Flo Zeremba, Patty Parker, Marsha Tallard, for all that they have done over the years to support mom and tend to the business in her absence. You will always be part of our family. Her extended family and many friends who have stood by her and our family during her brave fight against cancer these last 2 years. We are so grateful for the care, support and compassion of the Middlesex Hospital Hospice Staff, especially her nurses Cheryl and Ashley, and aids Kim and Johanna. Visitation will be held at Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Wednesday from 5-7pm. Pat's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Chester on Thursday at 10:30am.
