Obituary of Judith Ann Anderson

Judith Ann (Edgecombe) Anderson, 80, a life long resident of Old Saybrook died at her home on May 28, 2014. Beloved wife for the past 56 years to Dr. Albert J. Anderson. Judy was born in New London, daughter of the late Raymond O. & Sally R. (Morehouse) Edgecombe. Judy was a 72 year member of the First Church of Christ Congregational, a member of the Old Saybrook Women's Club, she volunteered for Literacy Volunteers for over 20 years, belonged to the Crafters sewing club at the Estuary knitting baby blankets for countless babies and could always be counted on for participating in the Memorial Day Parade in town. In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her children: Laurie Aholt and her husband Michael of Duvall, WA, Peter D. Anderson and his wife Suzan of Old Saybrook, her brother David Edgecombe of Lancaster, PA and her beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Carl and Sarah. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook. A Graveside service will follow on Monday at 10am at Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook. Donations in Judy's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc.
