Obituary of Theresa A. Wigg

Theresa A. Wigg, age 84, of Deep River, CT since 1974 passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, December 21, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late U.S. Army SFC John A. Wigg for 60 years. Theresa was born in New Haven on January 16, 1932 the daughter of the late Leonel and Gabrielle (Girard) Paulhus. Theresa was a devoted member of Saint Joseph Church in Chester. Theresa's passions in life were spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, and belonging to the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Dennis A. Wigg, David G. Wigg, Donald J. Wigg and daughter Noreen A. Monington. Theresa was predeceased by her beloved son, John P. Wigg (U.S. Army Veteran). Theresa also is survived by her 6 grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, Jennifer, Joseph, Justin, and Angela, her 9 great-grandchildren and her 3 great-great grandchildren, and her sisters, Pauline D'Alessio, and Helen Ennis. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:30AM at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester. Burial will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane in Middletown.
