Obituary of Mary V. Aery
Mary V.(Martocci) Aery, 82, of Old Saybrook, beloved wife of the late Arthur G. Aery Sr., passed away on January 10, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late George F. & Marie (O'Malley) Martocci. She and her husband moved with their family to Park Ridge, NJ in 1960 and full time to Old Saybrook in 1983. Mary taught in both New York and New Jersey and later with her daughter Corinne, opened Victoria Station, a gift shop in Old Saybrook in1994. Mary was a member of N.Y.S. Retired Teachers Assoc., a past president of the O.S. Woman's Club, Ass't Treasurer and Membership Chairman of the Friends of Acton Library, St John's Guild and was a Eucharistic Minister. She graduated from St. John's University, NY and received her Masters of Science degree from the College of New Rochelle Graduate School in Special Education . Mary treasured her time with family and friends and will truly be missed by the many that loved her. Mary is survived by her children; Susan Aery (Lorraine) of Palm Bay, FL, Arthur G. Aery Jr.(Nancy) of Guilford, Corinne Danko (Mark) of Westbrook, Alicia Frosini (Eugene) of Sugar Loaf, NY and Cynthia Eininger (Arnold) of Clinton, as well as 11 grandchildren: Arthur III (Jenna), Morgan, Holly and Henry Aery, Andrew (Krista) Danko, Kate Danko Munson(Christopher), Chelsea and Kyra Frosini and Edward, Philip, and Kimberly Eininger and her great grandchildren; Siena Grace Munson, Dallas Christopher Munson and Braly Grace Aery. She is also survived by her brother James Martocci(Elda) of Mahwah, NJ and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her siblings; Irene Clarke, Jane Martocci and Henry Martocci. Mary also leaves her loving companion William Jardine of Old Saybrook. At Mary's request there will be no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan.14th at 1pm at St. John Church , 161 Main St. Old Saybrook. Interment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in New York.
