Obituary of Marjorie Janet Green

Marjorie Janet Green passed away at her home in Old Lyme on January 27, 2017. Two weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was a resident of Old Lyme for over 30 years. She was the former loving wife and companion for 66 years of Leonard Green who predeceased her in 2015. She is survived by her son, Dr. Thomas Green of East Greenwich, RI; her three lovely granddaughters, Tiffany McGuire, Shauna Spaziano and Kristen Green; and her two great-grandsons Kyle and Connor McGuire. She will be remembered for her love of family, hiking with her husband thought out the Swiss Alps, and her great joy of nature. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00PM at The First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, corner of Lyme Street and Ferry Road in Old Lyme.
