Three words. It ain't easy. I never knew him...but what I knew from interaction with Beth at work made me understand he was a man amongst boys...carried himself with a steadfast understanding of how to raise a family and honor his children by keeping his bride smiling. The good go young. Always has been that way. Prayers to Beth and the boys....stay strong...fight the good fight...thoughts....

I've know the Curries for 3 years when we began carpooling to MSMHS. Chris was a Freshman, my Kevin was a Junior along with the Hosley sisters. I remember getting to the carpool pick up lot frazzled and late, arguing with Kevin. Phil was there with Chris and never "unbalanced". Always had a smile and reassured us everything was fine. That year flew by and the constant morning smile was greatly appreciated as we went through the rollercoaster of life. Fast forward to this year and my Jack is a Freshman and Chris is a Junior. First day of school as I passed my youngest to Phil he said, "Chris will be to Jack what Kevin was to Chris". Perfect thing to say as my last one heads off to HS. Every morning since that first day, Jack would get in Phil's car and laugh. I finally asked him, what does Mr. Currie say to you that makes you laugh every morning? Jack's reply, "Mom, he's always in a great mood". That was a gift Phil had that he passed along to everyone without even knowing it. Beth, Nick and Chris, as hard as the days to come will be, please remind each other to live (and smile) as Phil would want you to. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers.

Dear Beth and Family,
Just learned of your loss and send my love and heartfelt sympathy. Losing a husband is so very difficult, as I know from my recent loss.
Your mother and her siblings were treasured playmates during our youth in the hills of Pennsylvania.
Know that I am just a phone call away if you need someone to talk to.
Love,
Cousin Theresa

Beth, Nick and Chris,
So many memories of you visiting next door. Baseball with the family, slip and sliding between our houses, holidays at your Sisson grandparents. Always active and on the go. Cherish the memories and Nick and Chris, emulate your Dad's energy in your lives. Love to you all.
