I was Laura's nurse for many months while she lived at home and was with her until she went into hospice care at Branford Hospice. She loved her home with her kittens and her many birds and sculptures made by her father we had long chats not only about her but about me and became good friends during her journey . She was always gracious and kind and try to remain positive through her illness and a true fighter me she now rest in peace and may all those who loved her keep her memories alive

I am very sorry to hear of Laura's passing, she fought a valiant fight against a formidable foe. I had the pleasure of knowing Laura initially through her fine work as hostess at Friend's and Co. restaurant but more importantly as an RN helping to care for her during her visits to the Smilow Guilford treatment office. Always cheerful ready to share humor , Laura was a bright light with an artistic flair. I offer my sincere sympathy to Laura's sister Janet and the other members of her family.

I worked for Laura as the Administrative Assistant at The Counseling Service at Connecticut College. She helped many students. She was a friend and I enjoyed working with her. I had not seen her for many years. I know she will be missed by many.

Laura will be deeply missed. I worked with Laura for 9 years at Select and she made work a pleasurable and memoriable experience every day with her there. I always looked forward to the days I knew she would be working. She was fun loving, comical and had the best stories pertaining to her life that always had adventurous twist and sometimes put her in predicaments only our beloved Laura could get out of but she always came out on top with a smile and chuckle. We all were so saddened and dissappointed to see her retire so sudden and unexpected and scared for her and the battle she would face but we knew if anyone could handle the fight it would be Laura. I'm glad and honored to have had the experience of having her in my life and will truley miss her.
