Obituary of Jennie Ann Tomlinson

Jennie Ann Saglio Tomlinson, 87, of Deep River, Connecticut, died Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born in Killingworth, Connecticut, the daughter of John B. and Clara Calcamuggi Saglio. Jennie was a graduate of Hand High School in Madison, Connecticut. She was employeed by Saglio Gas Station, LC Doane and a caregiver/nanny to several families. Jennie is predeceased by her husband, of 50 years, Harold A. Tomlinson. Jennie leaves behind son Michael H. Tomlinson, his wife Annie and their sons Michael, Christopher and Matthew, Laurie A. Tomlinson and her daughter Sarah, James A. Tomlinson, his wife Kim and children, Jimmy, Geordie and Molly, Julie Kaufmann, her husband Karl, children Clara and Karl, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Harold, brother John and sister Patricia. Jennie was a Devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Jennie had a love for gardening, traveling, especially with her "Hon" Harold, cooking, baking, sewing, reading and animals, she embraced all of life, welcoming one and all to her home and table, A woman who could do just about anything, raising her children in the same manner. The family would like to thank her care givers, Sonja, Nina, Ruth, Allison, Darlene and the staff and nurses of Aaron Manor for their unwavering support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Deep River Library or an organization of your choice. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT on March 9, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm.
