Obituary of David Leroy Morrow
David Leroy Morrow, a lifelong resident of Chester, Connecticut passed away suddenly on Sunday June 15th 2014. David was born January 30th, 1947, the son of Clovis "Slim" Morrow and Anna (Supik) Morrow. He graduated from Valley Regional High School in 1966. David and his father owned and operated Morrow's Garage in Chester until 1986 when he and his wife Debby purchased their current business, Cable Prep. He was a skilled engineer and inventor, holding several patents.
An avid Boston Celtics and WNBA Connecticut Sun fan, Dave's love of basketball spanned most of his life. He was a Corvette enthusiast and collector, he enjoyed golfing, taking his family to Disney and spending his time working and living with the love of his life and best friend, his wife Debby. Dave was the heart of his family, and his love of life, laughter and friendship made him memorable to all who met him. David also leaves behind his beloved children, Kate Morrow and Mandy Morris, son in-law Jared Morris. He was the loving Papa to his two grandchildren, Cullen David and Quinn Amelia Morris. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Karen Fox, Wendy Bartlett, Jen Haxton, Jonathan Archer and Erick Anderson and his sister-in-law Patricia Anderson and her husband Harold. David was predeceased by his parents and his brother Clovis Raymond Morrow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright and Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A memorial service in his honor will be held at The First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River at 11:00AM on Friday, June 20, 2014.
