Except for the inevitable humiliation handed out on the driveway basketball court, I always enjoyed stopping by the Suits house.
Mrs. Suits always had a gleam in her eye, as if to say I won't ask what you boys are up to, I already know.
On the way to a party one night, I stopped at the Suits' first and Mrs. Suits suggested I wear a jacket to that particular event. She lent me one of Big Bill's (no disrespect). I was proud to return it in one piece, after a relatively short time. In the 70's, smoking was permitted in cars, planes, restaurants, and parties and oblivious to me, the jacket smelled like an ash tray. Mrs. Suits, in a motherly way, let me know that it was customary to have a borrowed item cleaned prior to returning it.
Sorry about that Mrs. Suits. Thank you for caring enough to tell me. I will miss you.
My condolences to family and friends.

Carol was such a very special lady. She was extremely popular in Old Saybrook. The Town of Old Saybrook was indeed fortunate to have had Carol serve their town for over 30 years. Carol was loved by all who had the distinct pleasure and good fortune to have known her. There is no doubt that she will be sorely missed by all the folks who knew her. Our condolence to all her family and to all the folks who had the distinct pleasure to have known her. Sincerely, Nancy and Ed Lonergan

Suits Family - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. She was a wonderful woman and as the obit read, she did have a contagious laugh! So sorry I won't be able to come on Tuesday for the services, but please know that you will be in my thoughts as you lay to rest this terrific gal. She sure fought a tough battle and I know you all will miss her healthy side for ever. Love and fond memories, Sue Vaccaro xoxo

Barbara, Mike, Peter and William,
With sincere condolances in hearing of your mom's passing. She was well loved. Such a caring soul. The most wonderful neighbors one could ask for, always there to lend a helping hand or add a joke over the fence. Know she is with you in spirit, and will always be. May God bless each and everyone of you.

Carol was an extraordinarily person, always warm and kind. We had many good times at Rotary functions with her and Bill. They were a part of what makes the Old Saybrook community special.
