Obituary of Agostino Agostinelli

Agostino "Gus" Agostinelli, 89, formerly of Westbrook , died Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014 at Gladeview Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Old Saybrook. He was the beloved husband of the late Corrine (Brown) Agostinelli who predeceased him in 2010. Gus was born January 22, 1925, the oldest child of Joseph and Isabelle (Giraldi) Agostinelli. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local #24 for 25 years and a well known chimney sweep for 50 years. Gus was a proud WWII Army Veteran, he was a member of the VFW in Essex and a former Commander in Westbrook, and also a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn Rossi and her husband Richard of Westbrook. Gus was predeceased by his son, Richard Agostinelli in 1982, and his five siblings, Joseph, Mary, Tony, Susie, and Peter. A graveside service with the rendering of Full Military Honors will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Resurrection Cemetery, Rte. 145 in Westbrook.
