Obituary of Frederick V. Carnevale

Frederick Victor Carnevale, age 84, passed away peacefully at Essex Meadows on May 18, 2017 following a short illness. Fred was born July 29, 1932 to Vito and Carmela (Traverso) Carnevale of Methuen, Massachusetts. Fred attended Edward F. Searles High School where he met his beloved wife Jane (Lavin), whom he married in 1953. Fred was extremely proud of having served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, and spent his career at Pratt & Whitney. A longtime resident of Westbrook, Fred loved the ocean, gardening, all creatures great and small, and UCONN women's basketball. Fred leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family. Fred is survived by his wife Jane, daughter Mary Beth and son-in-law Rory Everett, grandson Allen Everett, great grandsons Noah and Caleb, sisters Rita Rayball and Mary Persichetti, and sister-in-law Linda Lavin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Joseph, Michael, William, Rose, Eleanor, Louise, Esther, Lena, and Thelma. The burial will be private at the request of the family.
