Obituary of John C. Aronson

John C. Aronson, 53 , of Higganum died unexpectedly May 26, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Beloved husband of Lisa (Allan) Aronson and devoted and loving father to both Reagan & Delaney Aronson. John was born in Middletown, son of the late Walter R. & Sara (White) Aronson. John is also survived by his sister Karen van der Horst (Robert) of Old Saybrook, his brother Robert (Yasmin) Aronson of N. Las Vegas, NV and his niece Sara van der Horst of Washington, DC as well as his uncle Kenton (Nancy) White of Zephyr Hills, FL and his aunt Kristine (Jack) McGinnis of Montpelier, VT and many cousins. John was loved by so many and brought a smile to the face of everyone he met. His many years of volunteer work for Special Olympics Connecticut, not only brought him a great amount of joy, but is where he met his best friend and wife, Lisa. John grew up on a family farm in North Guilford where he learned the value of a hard day's work. He put his all into everything he did. Most recently he changed careers from the construction industry to working as a paraprofessional to support a teenager with Autism. As challenging as this work could be, it made John feel happy knowing he was helping someone. John's pride and joy were his 9 year old twin daughters, Reagan and Delaney. He was very involved in all of their extracurricular activities and was an outstanding father to these girls. John will be dearly missed by all. Visitation for John will be held on Wednesday, May 31th from 5-7pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook. Funeral Services will follow on Thursday at 10am at St John's Episcopal Church, Main St. Essex. Interment to follow at Higganum Burr Cemetery in Haddam.
