Obituary of David George Jameson
David George Jameson, age 66, of Middletown passed away at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown on Saturday evening June 21, 2014. He was the beloved lifelong partner of the late Diane Elizabeth Brooks Jameson who predeceased him on January 1, 2012 and the beloved son of Myrtle (Allen) Jameson of Chester. He was born on July 1, 1947 in Middletown the son of Myrtle and the late Leonard Jameson. Dave had been a resident of Middletown for the past 13 years and was formerly of Deep River and Chester. He was a machinist and had worked at Pratt-Whitney Aircraft, C.J. Bates, The Lee Company and several local machine shops. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dave was a member of the NRA and had been firearms instructor. He also was a member of the Southeastern Connecticut Dart League. Dave always placed his family first and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Airforce. Besides his mother he leaves his daughter, Chantal Hills, and her husband Martin of Middletown, his son, Scott Jameson, of Chester, his grandchildren, Aiden and Alysse Jameson and Joshua and Caleb Hills, his sisters, Adrienne Kerwick, of Chester, and Christine Hunt, of Connecticut, his brother, Maurice Jameson of Deep River, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leonard, James, William and Baby Norman. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
