Obituary of Thomas P. Gerhart

On July 30th , Thomas Gerhart, age 71, passed away after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson's disease. Mr. Gerhart was born June, 21st, 1946 in Olean, New York. He serviced his country with honor in the US Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. On May 16, 1991, he married Elizabeth Bugbee, and together they raised two daughters, Amber and Jessica Gerhart. They were also blessed with two granddaughters, Serenity and Niahya Gerhart. His greatest joy in life was horseback riding. A true cowboy, Mr. Gerhart took great care of his two horses P.C and Junebug, and participated in cattle drives in Wyoming and Idaho. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19th from 5-6:30PM with a chapel service starting at 6:30PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT.
