Obituary of Romeo D. Morin
Romeo D. Morin, 82 of Westbrook died at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook on June 22, 2014 after a long illness with his devoted wife, Claudette A. (Cote) Morin by his side. Romeo was born in Madawaska, Maine, son of the late Denis and Leda (Cote) Morin. He was raised and educated in Maine, served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict in the US Army and moved to Connecticut in 1961. Romeo owned and operated Morin Concrete for 20 years until his retirement in 1982. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Donald J. of Madison, Kenneth J. of Old Saybrook, Karen M. Avery of Old Saybrook and Dennis J. of Portland, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter, his sister Rita Dionne of Madawaska, ME, two brothers Roland of St. David, ME and Ferdinand of Madawaska, ME as well as his foster sister Theresa Chamberlain of Newington. Romeo was predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, Josephfel and Adrien, and his brother - in-law Romeo Dionne. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Wednesday, June 25th from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark Church, McVeigh Road in Westbrook on Thursday, June 26th at 10:30am, interment to follow in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown at 1:30pm.
