Obituary of Gerhardt S. Sigersmith

Gerhardt "Gary" S. Sigersmith, 60, of Ivoryton, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2017 at Yale- New Haven Hospital. Gary was born in New Haven, CT, son of the late John & Dorothy(Abel) Sigersmith. He was an avid fisherman and sports lover, he made many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gary worked 33 years with the Laborers Union #547. Gary is survived by his son Eric Sigersmith of Florida, a brother and four sisters: John (Lucy) Sigersmith of Rhode Island, Joan (Richard) Anderson of Deep River, Christine (Glenn) Riggio of Killingworth, Rita (James) Heroy of Deep River, Catherine (Mark) Church of Waterford and 14 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Gary is predeceased by his brother Eric and his sister Margaret (Peggy) Sigersmith. Graveside services will held at Fountain Hill Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 9th at 11am.
