The older we get the more we value good cheer, respect, humor, honesty, love and acceptance. He loved talking about politics and values in our changing society. Alan embodied all these and more. He will be sorely missed and we send our love and condolences to Larry, Alan's friends and family and his two daughters. Chris and Roddy

My husband & I are so saddened to hear of Alan's passing. He has driven us to NY & NJ airports. We so enjoyed his warm, charming & fun personality! He made the car rides go quickly! He loved it when I told him that I felt much safer with him driving versus my wonderful husbands!! We pray for strength for all of you during this very sad time.

Dear Jennifer, June, and Larry Such a shock to read of Al's passing. I always enjoyed talking to him. We became good friends over the last few years. Weather it was meeting for a drink at the Monkey farm or listening to the bands at the Elk's club. He was a wonderful caring man with a heart of gold.
I was so glad when he stopped at the house to visit us last week. GOD BLESS

To the family and friends of Alan,
I was deeply saddened to read this morning of Alan's passing. He and I were classmates and good friends at St. Francis College more than 50 years ago. He possessed back then all the wonderful qualities expressed in all the memorials I read this morning. Although I have not seen Alan since those days I will always remember the wonderful weekend we spent together visiting his family in Waterbury. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. Bob Occhialini.

Both myself and my wife Bernadette, are so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. What a truly wonderful person in a every respect ... intelligent, genuine, articulate, with much love, grace and good cheer ... always! Thats how we will always remember Alan! Bernadette is currently in Ireland visiting family (Larry dropped her off at Logan). All I could think of when hearing of Alan's passing, is that he said he always wanted to go to Ireland with Larry. And we would have many conversations while on route to one destination, or another, on how wonderful that would be for him and Larry. Well dearest friend ... you didn't make it, however you have more Irish than most people I have met either here or there ... the Emerald Isle! Your are and will forever be a dear friend and a real boy'o! Bernadette arrives back from Shannon will host a drink to you and Larry while in Galway tomorrow. Slainte!
