Obituary of Trina A. Solecki

Trina A. Solecki, 59, of Old Saybrook died June 24, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Michael Winham of Old Saybrook. Trina was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Henry and Stephanie (Paszynski) Solecki. Trina was a graduate of Quinnipiac Law School and later becoming the City Attorney for the City of Middletown for over 20 years. She was active the United Way, was an avid runner, having run in the WPLR Shamrock Run and the Christopher Martin Run. She loved to cook, ski and travel the world. Trina was a member of the Westbrook Congregational Church and was fluent in five languages. In addition to her husband, Trina is survived by her stepson Ian Winham of Old Saybrook, her brother Mark Solecki and his wife Linda of North Haven, her sister Donna Moschetti and her husband Richard of Newtown Square, PA as well as her nieces; Kimberly Solecki, Nicole Solecki, Cara Moschetti, Olivia Moschetti, her nephew Elliott Moschetti and her faithful companion Bonye Belle her black lab. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th from 2-5pm at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. Trina's Funeral Service will follow on Sunday, June 29th at 2pm at the Westbrook Congregational Church. Interment will be private.
