Obituary of Jeanette Jackson Dodd

Jeanette Jackson Dodd, age 83, a longtime resident of Chester passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 3, 2017. Jeanette was the beloved wife of Charles Dodd, Jr. for 64 years. She was born in Allagash, Maine on May 17, 1934 the daughter of Aaron Jackson, Sr. and Melissa (Thibodeau) Jackson. Jeanette was a member of The United Church of Chester. She loved fishing, knitting, crocheting, playing her guitar, and cats. She will be especially remembered as being a loving and devoted wife to Charles and always a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her husband Charles she leaves her daughter Pamela, her grandchildren Chad, Nicole, and Alan, and her great-grandchildren Georgia, Cole, Drake, Justin, Joshua, and Jackson. Jeanette also leaves her sisters, Annie and Verna, and her brother Maynard. Jeanette was predeceased by her sons, Douglas and Steward, her daughter Rhonda, her sisters, Lizzie, Leanna and Irene, and brothers, Louis, Romeo, Roland, Percy, Vincent, Fred, and Aaron, Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
