I have two vivid memories of Mr. Stawarky! The first was the evening of Ann Marie & Jim's rehearsal dinner. Mr. & Mrs. Stawarky hosted this dinner at their home in Newington and Mr. Stawarky made the toast, welcoming Mary Kerrigan and her family to their family. He was so gracious and welcoming....it made such an impression on me! The second memory was at the wedding of Courtney (Ann-Marie's niece) & Mike. I was touched by the fact that Mr. Stawarky was snapping pictures not of the bride but of his daugher in law, Ann-Marie! My dear friend is so fortunate to be a part of this loving family and to have had this good and gracious man as her Father in law! God's blessings and comfort for all of you!

Dear Dottie, JoAnn, Jane and Jim,
We have so many happy memories of Jim and his dynamic personality. Although we only knew Jim for 4 years - he touched our lives deeply with his charm and witt. If it were not for Jim, we wouldn't have landed in Westbrook. He was the first person in the neighborhood we spoke to when looking for a house. He was so positive and kind, we took the plunge- bought, and have loved every minute of our time in Westbrook. We are so lucky to have developed a great friendship with Jim and Dottie. We love them both dearly. All our love is extended to those who were touched by him.

Dear Dottie and family,
My late husband, Tom, often shared many warm and humorous stories of his friendship with Jim and of their time as colleagues at King Philip.
Jim was a kind and talented man; I still have one of his paintings hanging in my living room, and I treasure it. I pray that you find comfort in loving memories of happier days.
With my sincere sympathy,
Melanie Yalanis

Dear Dot, JoAnn and all the family,
My heart goes out to you. Jim was a a stand-out dad. As college teens, many parents seemed like adults in Charlie Brown films - back ground noise saying whah whah whah- not Jim and Dot! They were parents that were in the picture. I loved seeing them whether stopping by in the way to Holy Cross, on campus or, better, at the beach house. I started a beach glass collection because of them.
My thoughts and prayers are with you so I'll go light a candle for him today. He brought much light, love and joy to life. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
