Dear Maggie, David and Steve,
Andrew was a memorable 6th grader for all the right reasons: he worked hard in class, paid attention, made good friends, and had a subtle wit that let me know he wasn't as serious as he appeared.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing, and send you my most heartfelt condolences. I have very positive memories of his time in my class, and I know you have thousands more. I hope they comfort you, and give you peace.
With sympathy,
Judy McChesney

We knew Andrew and his family since he was little.
He was always cheerful and positive, full of life, music
and theatrics.
When we were employed at the same school, he was
very helpful and professional as the I.T. person, and
embraced teaching computer classes to the students.
He once offered to help us install a microwave at home, not an easy task, but he persisted as we shared frustration and many laughs. He refused to accept any money for this job.
We enjoyed the recent comedy in Chester in which he had a main part and was terrific, which were able to tell him
afterwards. Also saw this past Saturday, the day of his
memorial, they Dystrumpian Christmas Carol for which
he did the amazing sound, and where his voice was an
announcer -hysterical play- I wish we could share that with him.
His smile we will always hold close to our hearts.
Love, Karen and Rick

I am devastated by the news of Andrew's passing!
We worked together at SMSJ and his classroom was next door to mine. He would come into my classroom when we both had some free time and we would just sit and talk.
May God hold you close Andrew.

I knew Andy through his interaction with my son, Patrick, at College of Charleston and afterwards. I found him to be a talented and deeply personable individual. It was obvious to me that he cared deeply about his world and his place in it. I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss of the world that his gifts to it and compassion for it are too soon taken.

Maggi,
I want to assure you and your extended family of my deepest sympathy and continued prayers. Knowing the pain in my own family of untimely deaths, I feel your pain and loss. My prayers are for your healing. What a great loss to all whose lives Andrew touched, and the only consolation we have at this time is that he touched the lives of so many. May the God of all consolations and His Mother Mary be with you in the days to come. Peace!

We had the honor and privilege of being in the last play Andy acted in, "Play On!" in November. We liked Andy immediately. He was kind, funny, talented, helpful, considerate, generous and much more. We liked being around him and thought that it was just the beginning of a long friendship. We cannot fathom the devastating loss for his family and friends. We are just so very, very sorry. Nancy and David
