Obituary of Antoinette DiMauro Angersola

Antoinette "Toni" (DiMauro) Angersola, age 95, entered the realm of Heaven on Thursday morning February 1, 2018 in Chester. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Joseph Angersola of Chester. Toni was born on August 14, 1922 in Portland and made her foster home with Charles and Mammie Helander. A resident of Chester since 1934, Toni and Ernest were married at Saint Joseph's Church there in 1950. She was a self-taught professional furniture upholsterer, she enjoyed knitting and needle-point work, and was well known for her Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls and her many craft creations. She also was a fabulous cook. Toni was an avid New York Yankee and UCONN Women's Basketball fan. She was a communicant at Saint Joseph's Church in Chester and a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her loving husband Ernest she leaves her sons, Paul Angersola and his wife Marie, David Angersola, and his wife Debra, her beloved granddaughter, Christine Angersola, all of Chester, and her brother, Michael DiMauro of Higganum. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Connie and Josephine. Toni's family would like to thank the staff at Chesterfield's for their devotion and care. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph's Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery.
