Obituary of Theresa J. MacDonald

Theresa (Russell) MacDonald, 58, of Deep River, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2018. She was smart and sweet with a heart of gold and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and wonderful laughter. She was born in New London, CT on October 10, 1959, growing up in Essex, CT. As well as Essex, Theresa spent many summers at the family cottage in Mumford Cove in Groton, CT. She attended Valley Regional High School and graduated in 1977. Her favorite things were reading in the sun, gardening, camping with her family and friends and decorating her home. She sadly leaves behind David, her husband of 38 years, her daughter Kimberly MacDonald and her husband John Njenga, and granddaughter Mia Njenga all of Worcester, Massachusetts, her son David (DJ) MacDonald Jr. of Deep River. She is also survived by her twin sister Denise Mislick of Deep River, sisters Adrienne Russell Steele of Greenfield, Massachusetts, Tracy Squires of Wisconsin and brothers Frederick (Rick) Russell Jr., Daniel Russell and James Wells and his wife Stacey Wells all of Deep River, as well as many nieces and nephews. Theresa's parents, Regina (Denkiewicz) Russell and Frederick Russell Sr. surely met her at the Pearly Gates. Theresa will be sorely missed by all her family and friends who loved her. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Monday, February 19th from 4-6pm.
