Obituary of Edward Kenneth Dobrinski
Edward (Eddie) Kenneth Dobrinski, 37, of Essex, died suddenly on March 17, 2018. He leaves behind his father and stepmother, Henry Dobrinski, Jr. and Beth Parent (whom he called Mom) from Ashford, his beloved sister, Crystal Dobrinski and her fiancée, Jennifer Mineau, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He also leaves his stepsiblings, Michael Martinez-Silva, Jason and Sara Parent. He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother and grandfather, Shirley and Henry Dobrinski, Sr. as well as his loving aunt, Patricia Whipple. Eddie received his B.S. from Mitchell College and was a graduate of Valley Regional High School. He was a well-rounded athlete, having won many trophies for various sports, in particular baseball. He was a very talented pitcher who attracted the attention of baseball scouts even while in high school. Eddie was a Dallas Cowboys fan, but really loved the New York Yankees, much to the chagrin of his family. He loved the outdoors and worked in landscaping for many years. He enjoyed boating, crabbing and spent as much time as he could fishing. He liked to share the story of his father forcing him to carry his first deer out of the woods and seemed to make a sport of teasing his sister and stepsister. His was a loving, playful spirit and he will be sorely missed. We pray he is resting in peace knowing he truly was loved, especially as his dad's Bubba. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Eddie's name to a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements by the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook. Burial will be private with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. To share a memory of Eddie or send a condolence to his family please visit www.rwwfh.com
