Obituary of Thomas G. Hozebin

Thomas G. Hozebin, age 65, of Westbrook passed away on Monday, morning April 4, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Elaine ( Smith) Hozebin. Tom was the Occupational Safety and Health Manager for the Connecticut Department of Labor. He retired in June of 2009 following over twenty years of service. He was a resident of Westbrook for the past fifteen years and was formerly of Wallingford. He was born March 26, 1946 in Meriden the son of Charles and Dorothy (Kafka) Hozebin. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, an avid Yankee fan, loved to kayak and be at the beach. He was a friend of Bill W., and truly loved the Westbrook community. Tom was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. Besides his wife Elaine he leaves his children, son, Joseph Popovich and his wife Rose, daughter, Tracy Danko and her husband Tom, all of Wallingford, and his three granddaughters, Sarah Danko of Wallingford and Hannah and Hailey Popovich, of Wolcott. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00PM.at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
