Obituary of Beverly B. Filippi

Beverly (Barnett) Filippi, 81, of Burlington, VT formerly of Centerbrook, died on March 25 , 2011. Beloved wife of the late Gino Filippi who passed away in 1992. Born in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Harold C. & Dorothy (Kendall) Barnett, Beverly moved to CT at and early age. She was a 1947 graduate of Pratt High School, worked as a telephone operator for SNET, was a Boy Scout leader and belonged to the Alter Guild at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Beverly had spent the last 12 years living in Vermont. She is survived by her children; Mark S. Filippi of Sorrento, FL, Anna-Marie Pollock of Deep River, Christopher G. Filippi M.D. of Grand Isle, VT & Tokyo, Japan, Theresa A. Seibert of Yardley, PA, Marybeth Early of Huntington, VT, her brothers John Barnett of Idaho & George Barnett of Bradford, VT as well as eight grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by her brother Frank Barnett and a sister Virginia Willis. Visiting hours will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Tuesday from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark’s Church, Westbrook on Wednesday at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook.
