Obituary of Rob Roy Macgregor

Rob Roy Macgregor, 97, of Old Saybrook, loving husband of the late Mary Knowles Higgins Macgregor, passed away Friday afternoon February 25th at Gladeview Health Center. Rob was born in Pelham Manor, NY; son of the late James and Isabel (Stoughton) Macgregor. Prior to moving to Old Saybrook Rob lived for many years in Centre Harbor, NH and Woodstock, CT, where he was a member of the First Congregational Church of Woodstock. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Rob worked in the Geology Dept. at Wesleyan University and later as a salesman for the National Survey of Vermont. He is survived by his brother James Macgregor of Haddam and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he is predeceased by his sisters Isabel Carroll and HelenWyatt-Brown and his brother Franklin Macgregor. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, 543 Route 169 in Woodstock, on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 am.
