Obituary of Minnie Jazo

Minnie “Mimi” (Muscolino) Jazo, 90, of Centerbrook, wife of the late Walter J. Jazo passed away peacefully February 20 at CT Hospice in Branford surrounded by her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows church and lived her life with grace and kindness. She was taken out of school at an early age to help support her family. She became an expert seamstress and made her living sewing and tailoring. She became a student of music, buying her own piano which she played all during her children’s lives. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son Preston and is wife Jackie, her daughter Rosie and her husband John, and her devoted son and caretaker Walter, Jr. She is also survived by her three granddaughters: Taylor, Haley (and her husband Dave), and Samantha, all whom she adored plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Pasquale and her sisters Mary and Catherine. Her family will miss her greatly and give thanks to CT Hospice for their kindness and caring. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, February 24th at Our Lady of Sorrows, Essex. Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook. Donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. Arrangements by Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook.
