Obituary of Gale Scala

Attorney Gale G. Scala, wife of Attorney James R. Scala, died at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. She was the daughter of Helen C. Gwiazdowski and the late Peter P. Gwiazdowski, Jr. Gale is survived by two sisters, Joan M. Elliott and Ann Marie Borelli, one brother Peter P. Gwiazdowski, III, and two nephews, Attorney Whitney Elliott and Paul Gwiazdowski. Gale received both her B.A. and J.D. from Boston University. Gale began her law career in the Office of Corporation Counsel of the City of New York, was a partner at Dachert, Price, & Rhoads until she and her husband opened their own firm, Scala & Scala, in New York, NY and later in Essex, CT. Memorial service scheduled at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Essex, CT on February 22nd at 11:00 am.
