Obituary of Wendell Patterson

Wendell F. Patterson, Jr. age 68 of Deep River passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 30th at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown following a brief illness. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on January 14, 1943 the son of the late Wendell and Elva (Benson) Patterson. He was the father of Carol, Wanda, Alan and Ryan; step-father to Cheryl and Tammy; grandfather to eight and great-grandfather to six. He also leaves his sister Dale, and his brother Wayne, his nieces and nephews, and many others who loved him. Wendell was a hardworking, charismatic man with a big heart. He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Saturday, February 5th at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM.until the time of the service. Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
