Obituary of Rose Bella Weisse

Rose Bella Weisse age 92, of Ivoryton passed away at her residence on Sunday morning, May 15, 2011. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Oscar R. Weisse who passed away on March 3, 2004. Rose was born in Centerbrook the daughter of Samuel and Concetta (Bombaci) Bella. She graduated from Pratt High School and was a life long resident. Rose loved her entire family and will be deeply missed by each of them. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed crocheting, and was a fabulous cook who loved to share her many talents and recipes with her grandchildren. Rose is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Richard) Faraci, of Ivoryton and Old Saybrook, and Suzanne W. Scott of Haddam, her grandchildren, Tami (Shawn) White, of Westbrook, Noel Scott, Jr. and Timothy Scott, both of Old Saybrook, Jaime (Jonathan) Doubleday, of Tolland, and Jessica (Ryan) Hanover, of Quaker Hill. She also leaves her seven great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Tosha, Crystalynn, Mackenzie, Caden Jon, Samantha and Mia, and her sister, Jeanette Bick, of Centerbrook, sisters in laws, Lillian Bella, of Chester, and Elsie Bella of Old Saybrook. She was predeceased by her brothers, Mario and Joseph Bella. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Ivoryton Congregational Church, Main Street in Ivoryton. Private burial will be in the Centerbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shoreline Pantry and Soup Kitchen, PO. Box 804, Essex, CT 06426.
